Easter

So after climbing Saturday we rallied back to Thessaloniki and spent the night at the apartment.  On Sunday morning we drove out to the village for the Easter festivities:  eating, dancing, an egg hunt, and more eating.

Everyone but this little guy was psyched for the Easter feast.

Poor Artemis gets no attention at all.

Shout out to my homies in America.

Hold on while I groove to this bass line.

Some heavy lifting.

Some spring flowers to go with the dress.

Manoli, Litza and the girls.

Checking out the sheep.

Dancing with Yaya.

Checking if it's ready... delicious!

Some fresh greens for the salads.

The ladies prepared three delicious salads.

I'm wearing Ian's shirt which is why we look so much alike ;-)

 Lamb's ready!

 Hungry crowd.

 Cheers!

Lay off me, I'm starving!

Yummm!

Meatballs wrapped in eggplant.

Some traditional dancing to work off the dinner.

Artemis showing them how its done.

Theo Adam and the princess.

Eleftheria's delicious cake.

Looks like trouble.

LeAnna found this chalk bag to match the harness we got her and, of course, a walrus finger puppet to go in the chalk bag.  We're still not sure what the Greek word for walrus is.

The kids boiled and dyed eggs for an Easter Egg Hunt.  It was their first one ever and they were stoked!  After all the eggs were found, the kids hid them again for all the adults.  They may have had more fun than the kids.

Treasures!  Artemis was partial to these white stones and carried the best ones around in her chalk bag.

Double trouble.

Great post! Thanks for capturing so much of the holiday in pictures. Family, food, fun.... can't lose when you have that combination. Looks like great weather too!
Who do the sheep belong to? Are they all food animals?
Great pics of Ms. A! So cute!
