Just got back from a short but sweet trip down to eastern Tennessee with Andy W. to check out the Obed and Clear Creek climbing spots. The climbing got cut short due to bad weather and cold and the drive was a bit gnarly but it was worth it (to me anyways) cause we got to check out a new area!
The sandstone here is second to none (as good as anything at the NRG) and with endless STEEP roofs (and unlike at the New there are actually holds out the roofs).
I had a good time trying as many three star lines as I could manage in a two day blitz. Mainly just enjoyed being back on some southern sandstone - best rock in the country? I think so...
