A couple days at the Hood

We had a nice storm come through over the weekend, cooling off the valley and leaving some early season snow on the upper slopes of the Spring Mountains.

The aspen are starting to turn.  Along with the low clouds and fresh snow, it made for an especially nice first-day-back to climbing.

We went back up the next day, too.  Bluebird skies, cool, fresh air and frosted peaks = perfection!

My buddy Mike took a couple shots of me working on a route called Closing Down (14a).
Love it up there.

We're pretty lucky to live near such a beautiful place!

Just checking to see if there was a new post...although this isn't, I looked through the beautiful pictures again. You really are lucky to live in a location that is so beautiful and that in short time you can change to something so different - desert to mountains. Miss you guys and am already counting the days! Much love, Mom
