Just another sick unclimbed wall.

Orchards and pine forest.

A Mexican Yosemite Valley.

The best rock we've seen...

...which, of course, happens to be the most inaccessible (located at lower right of the 'torpedo').

Miles of rock.

Mexican Countryside

Devlin finding a good rest on a 13a at Las Animas.

Sun, moss and rocks.

Lost in a sea of tufas.

A huge unclimbed wall further down canyon.

Scoping walls in the jungle.

Up close and personal with an agave.

The mouth of El Salto canyon.

Las Animas Wall.

This past weekend Devlin and Robin and I drove to another climbing area called El Salto to check out the established routes and also to see about potential new walls to climb. Great Success Gypsy's! Tons of rad tufas everywhere! (Tufas are drip formations that sometimes form on limestone walls and are the most fun climbing ever.) The top pictures is on a hike looking for new walls (unsuccessful) and the other two are me climbing a route imaginatively named Big Gray Tufa on the Las Animas wall. This is literally the coolest wall I've ever seen. First of all it is huge (like 300') and second, as you can see, it is COVERED in amazing continuous tufa rails, drips, icicles and crazy elephant trunk blobs. Very cool!
I'll try to post some more pics tomorrow... unfortunately it takes like 15 minutes per picture...
